Assistant teacher Zaoud in the Himalaya (2006)

On 8th October 2005 Pakistan experienced the worst earthquake in its history.

Nearly 100,000 people died and 3 million lost everything they had in just a few seconds. Many of them will have great difficulty in getting back to a normal life. Those who suffer most are the children. We still do not know how many have become orphans. Many of the children have to struggle with their terrible
memories.
The trauma of the earthquake remains however.

For Zaoud and his fellow-pupils school is more important than ever. One of Zaoud's favourite duties is that of being an assistant teacher. Many teachers are now missing. Ahmad and his few colleagues can do with some assistance. The 105 children of the primary school must at present be content with two teachers.

We go with little Zaoud on his learning and teaching. Six month after the earthquake people habe already forgotten the suffering in Pakistan.

We show real-life stories.
