Bird migration:
a celebration or murder? (Tunisia)
Birds know no borders, we follow them.
This is a co-production with Italian and Swedish film teams. It shows the attempts of environmentalists to protect migrating birds from the guns and traps of hunters. The birds were followed on their migration from Africa to Scandinavia with telescopes and cameras. Special attention was given to migrating Falcons. In Italy, they are the target of sport hunting, and in Tunisia, caught in nets to be trained.
Imago Films accompanied falconers in Tunisia who are now working for the protection of the birds, and once a year join in the Falcon Festival on Cape Bon. This area serves as a bridge for migrating birds to Europe, as it is the shortest distance between Tunisia and Italy. We presented this connection with our cameras.
