In the valley Beja, an exemplary model of trash disposal was built. Next to it, a pilot program for compost production has been initiated. It has been working successfully for two years.
Tunisia wants the neighboring countries to follow their lead. The EXPO project FORUM 2000 will help in this area. Under this title will arise a permanent exhibition in Tunis. This will be a technical and idea forum for interested parties from around the world. It delivers a stimulation for solving ecological problems in the third millenium.
